The story behind Modessic

Founder Kevin Ryale has always had a fascination with style and innovation. The idea behind Modessic was born during a visit to Milan in 2013.

He was attending a business meeting, but discovered that the leather strap on his wristwatch was broken. A creative solution fixed the problem - he attached the two straps with a tie clip. The result was a sleek, modern and unique look. Later, he strolled through the city's upscale boutiques offering stylish luxury watches from well-known brands. Kevin was fascinated by watches with a black design and details in luxurious materials. He went into a store to find a watch for himself, but was shocked by the prices. The market for designer watches was clearly limited to a lucky few. It was made for people who could afford to pay extreme prices. Kevin came up with the idea of designing timeless watches that are just as beautiful but also available for more people to enjoy. When he returned to Stockholm he was inspired by his new business idea, Kevin started sketching on his own watch brand. Many sketches, prototypes and years later, Modessic's design was born - based on his original idea of the tie clip. The name Modessic comes from""Modern Classic"" - a combination of modern design and classic style that together create a sophisticated, elegant and affordable watch. This innovative spirit ensures that Modessic watches will always be unique.
